Call of Duty: End War is an upcoming game in the Call of Duty franchise. It will take place in an alternate history, in which the Second World War lasted six years longer. The story will focus on some of the lesser known Axis and Allies members, and allude to the imminent Cold War.

Plot Edit

During the Berlin Conference, a treaty is signed stating that Germany will be split into two states, Communist East Germany and NATO West. However, spies leak info that Japan is building nuclear weapons in response to the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, prolonging the conflict. During the years 1946-1947, the Soviet Union forms the Warsaw Pact, in which Poland eventually joins. Later in the game, the Warsaw Pact drops out of the war, to focus on nuclear research, and building up their defence, causing the allies to question the USSR's true motives.

One of the main points of the game is showing the advancement of technology in the years building up to the Cold War, such as fighter jets phasing out propeller planes, and the usage of semi-automatic and assault weapons in favor of the long-used bolt action rifle.
